SEOUL, Oct. 1 (Yonhap) -- South Korean professional baseball games of the KBO League will be broadcast to the small screens in thirteen Southeast Asian countries.
"Starting with the Doosan Bears and LG Twins at Jamsil Baseball Stadium today, major games in the 2021 KBO regular season and all postseason games will be broadcast live in 13 Southeast Asian countries," according to the KBO League.
SPOTV, a Korean broadcasting TV network well known for its sports programming and is available in 13 countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, and Myanmar, people will be able to watch the KBO League live.
"The KBO League, which already provides wired and wireless live broadcasting services in Japan through the SPOZONE platform, will be able to inform more than 650 million Southeast Asian viewers of KBO through expanding the broadcasting area," explained the KBO League.
Last year, the KBO League was broadcast live in the U.S. through ESPN.
KBO said, "We will promote the KBO League, Korea's representative professional sports content, overseas and make efforts to explore new markets."
