Royal ritual to honor past kings of Joseon Dynasty

People dressed in traditional Korean attire participate in an annual royal ancestral ritual at Jongmyo Shrine in Seoul on May 1, 2022, known as "Jongmyo Daeje." The ritual, which honors the past kings and queens of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), was held without spectators amid worries over the coronavirus pandemic for the past two years.
