SEOUL, Aug. 21 (Yonhap) -- Director Han Jae-rim's aviation terrorism film "Emergency Declaration" surpassed 2 million cumulative audiences on the afternoon of August 20, which is  the 18th day of its release, according to its distributor Showbox. It has been two weeks since the cumulative audience of "Emergency Declaration" surpassed 1 million.

"Emergency Declaration" is the third out of four Korean movies this summer to exceed the total audience of 2 million. "Hansan: Rising Dragon" surpassed 2 million on July 31, which was the fifth day of its release, and "Hunt" on August 16, which was the seventh day of its release. The first part of "Alienoid," which was released first, attracted only 1.529 million viewers until the previous day.

Starring Song Kang-ho, Lee Byung-hun, Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Nam-gil, and Lim Si-wan, the film depicts the stories of people who faces biochemical terrorism on a plane bound for Hawaii.
