SEOUL, Feb. 21 (Yonhap) -- A total of 51 representative travel courses for indulging in K-wave (Hallyu), which have been meticulously selected by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), were announced as major Hallyu-themed tourist destinations for international fans who adore Korea and its culture.
The 51 courses are designed to introduce more than 200 Hallyu tourist attractions under six major themes, including K-pop, K-stars, K-dramas, K-variety shows, K-movies, and last but not least, K-content. The courses mark various places that would pique the interests and curiosity of Hallyu fans, ranging from the BTS Road, K-pop music video filming sites, star-loved restaurants, popular drama filming sites where the mega-hit television series “Vincenzo” and “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” were filmed, as well as spots that appeared in films.
Details of these tourist attractions are available in the Korea Tourism Content Lab of the KTO.
The KTO also carefully designated 14 out of the 51 courses and compiled them into the “Hallyu Recommended Course Guidebook” for individual tourists and divided them into those in Seoul and the metropolitan areas (7 courses) and regional (7 courses).
The guidebook written in Korean can also be viewed online as an e-book on the KTO’s official website and app. The English, Japanese, and Chinese (simplified and traditional) versions of the guidebook will be released in the middle of next month.
