A part of Seoul City Wall collapses due to the intense spring rain

A section of Inwangsan Mountain in Seoul City Wall, which was built to protect Hanyang, the capital of the Joseon Dynasty, collapsed around 10 a.m. on April 4th. The collapse happened because the wall could not withstand the water pressure caused by the rain the previous day. Seoul City Wall is a cultural heritage that S. Korea wants to inscribe on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
